Sabbatical and scenery
The sabbatical is over! The blogger returns... Be warned, this entry is picture heavy - but that'll save you having to cope with too much havering from blogblethers! The girls and I have just returned from a short trip "home" to Argyllshire. We stayed in a cottage on the banks of Lock Eck, about 12 miles from Dunoon. Even on overcast rain-threatening days, the scenery is glorious.
The view from the decking as you stepped out the cottage door
Isn't it strange how sometimes you have to leave before you truly appreciate the beauty of your home area?

There has been some action on the needles too following a fallow period where not ONE stitch was done in nearly three months. Thank you February Lady Sweater for prompting needle activity again! Photo's to follow...

welcome back:)
Welcome home luv x
What a wonderful view, so much better than my view of semi-detached houses and the orange glow of London in the distance :o(
Looking forward to FLS piccies, it's creeping further up my queue but i'm not sure i'm ready for another cardi yet, after all my first one still isn't finished! :oD
Welcome back.
Scotland must have been the location of choice this year as we spent 10 days in a cabin in Beattock. Only 7 1/2 hour drive from home.
Hope the DD's are doing well. Emily is off to Bangor Uni in a month. Seems like 5 mins since she was doing GCSE's. Dyslexia support at Uni seems to be much better than High School and College.
Thank you, ambermoggie ... have missed you all whilst away and really looking forward to catching up, seeing all those projects...
Fran, it's a really beautiful area and have only really grown to 'see' that since I left home. My view in Cardiff is slightly less pretty too;)
Hope you and the family had a wonderful time in Beattock - with plenty of sun and very few midges! What great news about Emily - you must be so proud of her, and rightly so!
Oh what beautiful photos - glad to have you back to knitting and blogging :o)
What a beautiful place. Nice to see you back.
Welcome back! Such pretty scenery...I'm beginning to feel like the only person in the world who hasn't traveled somewhere pretty this summer...
Angie, what a wonderful place. I hope your mum is recovering now.
Mr A and I went to Scotland once for the day ( nearly 30 years ago now, we were staying in the lake District and went to Edinburgh )
It's time to re-visit I think.
And welcome back :-)
