Turbulent times!
I would like to introduce Turbulence U Neck sweater, pattern by Norah Gaughan (pattern in Knitting Nature book). Well, as much of it as I have done so far ... I've spent most of the weekend working on the charts for the cabled neckline. This has been my first foray into using charts, being a die-hard written pattern fan until now. The air was blue as my tired, fuggy brain tackled Row 19 - a mere 4 times and 5 hours later ... success!!
On to less turbulent times, now that the battle with Row 19 has been won!

It looks great so far! Can't wait to see it finished:-)
Angie, it's looking lovely :)that's the beautiful terracotta I saw last weekend isn't it?
Oh but its beautiful! I love it :) Why have I not got this book? Piglottie trots off to Amazon...
Turbulence is looking great! The cotton is showing the cables so well. Love your silver necklace too!
it's looking gorgeous, I'd never dare tackle that one yet. I love the colour too.
Thanks so much for your lovely comments! I love this book, PL. There are a number of patterns in it I can't wait to do - oh my little beauty, Ogee! Hope you've treated your self at Amazon, PL... Christina, you absolutely could do this - I've seen the beautiful work you've done!! And this was what I was 'needle tucking' on at Get Knitted, Joy;) The cotton is working fine for the cables, DC. Have also got the Soft Twist now too and think that'll look quite different from this one...
That looks wonderful, well done on tacking charts...I still look at them now with a blank expression!
Looking forward to seeing this finished.
The DB Cotton looks fantastic in that pattern Angie!!!!
Wow! The cables look complicated but the result is definitely worth it. It looks brilliant so far.
It looks lovely. Charts are unknown territory for me.
Thanks, Pictish, enabler extrodinaire;) I love this yarn to knit with - it knits up so fast and feels lovely. Riggwelter, Kendra and Tusa ... I can't say I am a convert to charts yet but am pleased that I stuck with it. There are so many stunning sock and garment patterns out there that I have avoided to date. I now would feel braver about trying them ... I just need a swear box near by and a long hand secretary to write it all out for me;) And what fantastic, exciting news from you too Kendra ... will be watching for news of your very special WIP;)
The cables look so nice. :)
Great jumper. Glad you didn't let row 19 get the better of you.
It's so neat...the cables are really lovely. I adore the colour too.
Well done on conquering row 19....a superb victory :D
