What a difference a day makes!!

Well, they say lots can happen in a day and that certainly is true. Unfortunately not all of it's good and here's the evidence!! First picture is DD2's short Jaywalker hot off the needles and being an anally-retentive sock knitter (or at least a sock knitter who has too many 'lone soldiers' waiting for their partner!), I eagerly cast on sock 2 and had just turned the heel in a knitting frenzy. Despite having placed sock 1 on the top shelf of my desk, the puppy we are babysitting at the moment discovered it and thought 'My, what a kind woman... she has left me a soft chewy bone to teeth on'!! Picture 2 shows her dental efforts and Picture 3 is the bold madam having a snooze on my bed, tired out with all her chewing!! I can smile about it today!! Have frogged the lonely sock 2 and cast on another pair (just using the standard Opal pattern) in Regia Cotton Surf. Anyone want a dog???

What a shame, the sock looked great. The dog looks very remorseful.Just take it as a compliment as they tend to chew something that smells good and reminds them of someone they love!!!
DD2 must be really disappointed though. Great to hear that she is enjoying school.
Best wishes Sarah

The sock looked fantastic. What a naughty dog. But that's puppies for you. Good luck with your next pair.

Ooooh, your poor wee sock! It was looking great. Maybe the pup thought she was "helping"! haha She's a wee cutie. I bet she's getting spoiled rotten!

lol bless her, the sock eating scunner has returned to her new home ... and, strangely enough, I really miss her! My other 2 dogs and the 4 cats share that feeling far less so (especially Marmalade, the ginger tom, who has only just started to come back into the house)!! Have given up for a little while on socks and am currently doing Wooley (from Noro Unlimited), subbed into Cascade 220 for DD2. I really like the feel of the Cascade and would definately use it again.

Who would've thought such a cutie could do so much damage?
